The domain market, once a week.
Once a week: domains that have just dropped or are about to, recent auction results, and practical notes on buying, holding and selling.
- Good drops
- Names filtered by estimated auction value and ranked for investment quality, both recently dropped and about to. Registration status on the dropped ones is checked at the time the issue is written.
- What names are selling for
- Recent sales, what is actually clearing at auction, and where an estimate would mislead you if you read it on its own.
- Other market information
- Movement in the market, changes at the registrars and marketplaces, and the occasional practical note on buying, holding or selling.
- A sponsor, when there is one
- Labelled at the top of the section. Sponsors never see your address and never influence an estimate or a ranking.
Sponsors pay for attention, not for influence.
Some issues carry a sponsor. That only works if the line between editorial and paid stays obvious, so it is worth stating plainly what a sponsor does and does not get.
- Anything a sponsor paid for is labelled as sponsored.
- Your address is never shared with, sold to, or exported for a sponsor.
- No sponsor tracking pixels. Sponsors get aggregate delivery and click counts.
- Paying for a placement never changes an estimate or which domains reach Daily Gems.
